Background Information

Oral maxillofacial surgeons are dental specialists who treat conditions, defects, injuries, and esthetic aspects of the mouth, teeth, jaws, and face. Their training includes a four-year graduate degree in dentistry and completion of a minimum four-year hospital surgical residency program. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Hancock has expertise in a wide variety of issues, including diseased or impacted teeth, facial injuries, reconstructive and dental implant surgery, misaligned jaws, and patients with tumors and cysts of the jaw. Dr. Hancock has specialized knowledge in pain control, advanced training in anesthesia, and is able to provide quality care with maximum patient comfort and safety in the office setting.

Surgical Staff

The surgical staff at Dr. Hancock’s office is knowledgeable in oral and maxillofacial care which will make your experience optimally comfortable. With prompt and professional care, the staff will answer all your questions and ensure your appointments run smoothly. In addition, there is a trained registered nurse (RN) to assist in surgical procedures and IV administration. Patients are continuously monitored during and after sedation surgery. All staff are well trained in assisting with surgical procedures and are CPR certified.
